More Straw Bale!

When you garden in a straw bale you have to let it cook for a week – 10 days. Mine cooked more like 15 days… pish pash.

I had heard from a few different sources that you want a smaller plant rather than a larger potted plant. Little did I know those smaller babies are not as easy to find. Saturday morning I ventured to the farmers market to see what was avaliable and BAM all sorts of herbs and veggies for $1.00 and 2 for $3.00 – sold!

Planting wasn’t all that challenging but did take a bit of effort. Those bales don’t easily make way for the root ball – hint why smaller plants are easier.

In case you are curious I got three varieties of tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, jalapeno, two bundles of cilantro, chives, parsley, basil, and oregano.

Nom Nom Nom
