Personal Shower

Personal Shower1

All images can be found here

In a few short weeks I will be throwing my bestest friend in the whole wide world her very own “personal shower”. I love throwing a good party but putting something together for someone that means so much to me makes it even more special.

Over the past week I have been compiling various “inspiration” photos as I start going head first into details and planning.

I came up with this fabulous theme centered around “making her blush” so blush pinks and gold glitter were in order. You will have to wait for all the fun little details post shower – for right now here is a little peak into my brain.

Enjoy your Friday lovelies! Have a safe holiday weekend!!!

Are you tired of invites and baby pictures? Good, me either!

Last week I showed you brunch invites for my brothers wedding – the brunch is for out of town family the day after the wedding. A little thank you for coming if you will.

Today, though, are the rehearsal dinner invites. I sent Britt this image and asked her to do something with spaghetti on the invite since it will be at an Italian restaurant.

booked hues - rehearsal dinner

How she took those little nuggets and came up with something so cute, Ill never know.

To the mail they go! I have a few more events to plan before my mom and I get to the rehearsal dinner – but I will make sure to inform you of all the fun details!

My last round of pictures made me want a redheaded little baby and now I want this cutie with his dark eyes and dark skin. Melt me. His fun and silly personality make him even that much cuter – if its even possible?

We hopped over to the train tracks for a bit and I knew it would interest any 3 1/2 year old boy but the total excitement on his face when a train passed by sold me on this location.

Bekah – the two of you were so fun to work with and that little one of yours is going to be a majjjor heartbreaker. Be careful – gap might be calling soon for a new model!

Perfection, right?

My last brother is getting hitched in October and since it is an out of town wedding for most of our family my parents are hosting a brunch the day after. As soon as we set a time and place I knew exactly who to turn to for invites.

Brit over at Paper and Post Shop made my business cards and even partnered up with me at Market Days. Girlfriend has some real talent.

I gave her a very bland description of what I was looking for and from that she created these beauties. I will never know how she does it!

She even gives you the option of paying a few cents more and having the envelopes addressed and stuffed for you. Glory Hallelujah. There is no way you can turn that down!! She’s also putting together rehearsal dinner invites and a bridal shower invite. I try to keep her busy.

Check out her shop here and her blog here

That red hair and those chubby cheeks – melt me! Meet baby Hugh, our children’s pastors first sweet little edition to their family. He couldn’t have been more perfect if he tried. Had it been appropriate I would have just cuddled his sweet body instead of taking pictures. But alas, pictures were in order.

If he ever started to fuss all you had to do was pick him up and he would sink down into your arms and relax. Its almost as if he knew in that moment he was safe and loved. God really does know exactly what he's doing when he puts these amazing blessings in our life.

Congrats Bonnie and Chris – I couldn’t have imagine a more perfect baby for you two if I tried

Create : House Numbers

IMG_1834

Way back when my mom and I hit the junkers paradise known as Warrenton. I recaped all the goods I got here – one of which being new house numbers.

Those sweet corticated metal house numbers have sat in my craft room since March. Awesome job at getting on those projects, Sarah.

Last night I checked it off the to-do list. Finally. Now people wont drive past my house four times before realizing where I actually live. I guess it is hard to find a house with no house numbers.

After measuring the width of the space to find center, I started screwing in the numbers.

Little side note: I was drilling through metal into wood so I used wood screws. To get them hung I had to put the numbers on the ground (grass) and apply quite a bit of pressure to get the screw started before screwing them into the wood. Make sense? Once the screw was through the metal I screwed them in no problem. (how many more times can I saw screw?)

There was a bit of repositioning involved, which I think would happen for anyone doing it alone and not having a second eye to stand back and direct placement.
