I woke up this morning confused on whether it was Friday or Saturday. Those two cannot be confused and I was rather disappointed when I looked at my phone to find it was Friday and I indeed had to get up and go to work.
On the bright side the weekend starts soon.
Please tell me someone out there are really cool and exciting plans. Plans that don’t involve inventory, a paint brush, or sander.

I saw this quoted somewhere and cannot for the life of me remember where I saw it but the saying stuck with me.
“As sin increases grace, also, increases” – do you remember a time in your life when someone kept screwing up but each time it was worse and worse – more hurtful, more painful – yet you loved harder? Yea, me either.
I am very much under the mindset – you fool me once shame on you, you fool me twice shame on me. We are taught to guard ourselves against hurt, not allow it.
Crazy thing is, God embraces it. Our sin, he takes it on. Our disobedience, he forgives. If someone did to us what we do to him daily they would be written out of our lives immediately. Yet with him, the worse we are the bigger his grace.
whew.
He is simply much bigger and much more loving than we can ever fathom. Thank him today for his unfailing love. Even though we mess up daily he is there to clean up our mess. To love us through it.

About a year ago, God put a desire on my heart to foster local kiddos who were otherwise living in shelters. I had recently bought a house and there was an extra bed with no one sleeping in it. I felt like I had to do more.
At this time in my life, fostering just wasn’t going to work, so I began providing respite care instead. I loved getting to pour into these little lives that were once so bleak and now had so much hope. Just like our lives before Christ – now we have hope.
The desire to foster/adopt has never left my heart, but instead I have realized God’s timing is much better and bigger than my own. So until the day I get to bring home a baby that looks nothing like me, until then, I will prepare. When God tells us to “hold on” he doesn’t tell us to sit ideally by, he calls us to prepare. So, prepare I will.
This weekend I am attending a conference on fostering/adoption. Surrounding myself with people who have walked this path or just starting out. Learning more on how to adequately prepare for that day.
Preparation isn't easy and much of the time with preparation comes waiting, waiting for Gods timing and plan to play out.
